Confession is Good for the Soul

For the first seven years as a Christian I believed all God expected of me was for me to live a life of the do’s and the don’ts.   I was to always be in church and I should not drink, smoke, or use foul language.

A retired missionary to China ruined the way I looked at being a Christian by sharing his experience in the Shantung Revival.   He showed me what God expects of every Christian.

Missionaries in the Shantung Province of China came together to pray and when the Spirit moved in their midst, they began to confess sins to God and to each other.

This group of missionaries had only seen 800 people baptized in the previous thirteen years.   When they fell in love with the Lord, their repentance and desire to be holy before God, resulted in more than 17,000 Chinese being baptized in the coming year.

The result of their commitment to God is known as the Shantung Revival.

My Life-Changing Lesson:

The result of, “Presenting my body as a living sacrifice”, holy acceptable unto my Lord results in God richly blessing me, my family, and my ministry.   See Romans 12:1-2
